                                        Two shots of a Nimrod, a single-seat fighter adapted from the Hawker Fury for operation from
                                        aircraft carriers.   It first went into operation with the Fleet Air Arm in 1931.   A twin float version
                                        was also built.  18 or so Nimrods were still active at the outbreak of WW II, and two survive to
                                        this day.   The Fighter Collection at Duxford maintains an airworthy example, details of which can
