CF-DEZ  Taylorcraft BC-12D                   (c/n  7730)

CF-DEZ was one of seven such aircraft imported all at one time in 1947.   The Canadian market
was quite good for the U.S. manufacturers in the immediate post war period.   This machine was
owned by a private party in Staffordville, although when Peter Keating took this shot of it at Montreal
in the early 1950s, it appeared to be not too active.      However, in March 2011 I heard from Tom
Munroe who owned the diminutive craft in the early 1980s.  It had undergone a restoration and Tom
even flew it to the 1982 Oshkosh Show where it remained all week on display in the Classics section.
Today it is still current and registered (as C-FDEZ of course) to a private owner in the Toronto suburb
of Markham, Ontario. (at Buttonville Airport?)
