C-FIXM  Cessna 180                                                       (c/n  32485)

This 180 was a 1956 model , ex N6588A, and was first registered in Canada in May of 1962.
It is seen above on a lake near Edmonton, Alberta circa 1980

                                    * NOTE:    In 1974 Canada requested from ICAO (which is head quartered in Montreal
anyway) that its registrations be changed from CF-and CG- to C-F and C-G ,
ostensibly to indicate that it was now a "large nation" worthy of a single country
designator, like G- and F- for instance.  This was actually self serving, since
all registrations still had to lie within the C-F and C-G range, so it did not buy
any more sequences.   An exception to this rule is for home built aircraft, which
                                                       are C-I.  (India).
