Piper PA-22-150   Caribbean           N3414Z         (c/n  22-7327)

The Caribbean was a no-frills version of the standard Tri-Pacer offered in 1959-60.   These were
ostensibly produced for the flying club trade, but every one I ever saw was privately owned.  This
example was at Santa Monica Municipal Airport ("Clover Field") in 1962, and I was privileged to
"have a go" with it.  .Either it was a very hot day (which it was), or my memory is dim (which it is)
but I recall being less than enamored of its performance.  Maybe it was because I owned a Bonanza
                                        at the time.
