National Airlines System    Stinson U Tri-Motor   NC432M    (c/n  9000)

                                          

                                              Two views of the same aircraft.  The above shot is more authentic (or, shall we say, a little less
                                              touched up).   NC432M was actually the prototype of the Stinson U.  This model was an enhance-
                                              ment of the earlier Stinson SM-6000-B, commonly known as the Stinson Model T Tri-motor.
                                              The model U was a newer, faster, larger edition and was initially operated by Century and Century-
                                              Pacific Airlines.  With the acquition of several of these larger airliners, National extended service
                                              from Daytona Beach south to Miami.  They were later to relocate their headquaters to Jacksonville.
