                                              named 'Marienne' at the time, although went on to be renamed both 'Bob Hope' then 'Sammy Davis Jr'.
                                              In 1970 National was granted rights for services to Europe and the Miami-LHR (London Heathrow)
                                              route was opened. The European service would later be expanded to include Paris, Amsterdam, Zurich
                                              and Frankfort.  Originally operated with the Boeing 747, the DC-10 was later to augment and replace
                                              these aircraft.  N82NA passed to the Pan Am asset register when National was absorbed by that carrier
                                              in 1980.
