National Air Transport   Curtiss Carrier Pigeon Model 2    NC311N   (c/n  G-2)

In 1929 Curtiss resurrected and extensively modified the old Carrier Pigeon design into this rather
sophiticated beast. This aircraft was huge, make no mistake about that.  It outweighed the Falcons
by a ton, and could carry that weight in mail.  Power was supplied by a 600 hp 12 cylinder V-type
Curtiss Conqueror engine.   Research shows that NAT may only have had three of them.
