ZK-ATD  MIles M.14A Hawk Trainer III         (c/n 897)

The Hawk Trainer displayed in this very uncontrasty shot is unique in that it has had a canopy
fitted.  This, along with the spatted undercarriage makes it difficult to believe that at one stage
it was an all yellow RAF Magister (N3851).  The aircraft was civilianized at the end of 1949
as G-AKMK but was exported almost immediately to New Zealand.   This shot was taken at
an air show at Christchurch in 1950 when the aircraft was operated by the Canterbury Aero
                                             Club.
