VH-URG  de Havilland D.H. 84 Dragon           (c/n 6046)

                           

                                This spatted Dragon was delivered to Western Mining Corporation Ltd of Perth at the end of 1933
                                and was named "Golden West'.   Sold to Holymans Airways in 1934, it received the name 'Yuptana'
                                when taken over by Australian National Airways in 1936. (All ANA's aircraft had Aboriginal names
                                ending in "-ana").  VH-URD was sold to Airlines of Australia of Sydney in 1939 and was struck off
                                register in 1942 following a crash at Wenlock, Queensland.
