VH-UZC  de Havilland D.H.83 Fox Moth                  (c/n  4048)

                                 

                                      The above image is from the John Wilson collection.  I'll leave the bomb in the picture for effect
                                      ('28 Dodge?).     The photo below is from the Thuringowa Library Catalogue, via the Picture
                                      Australia collection showing -UZC in wartime camouflage probably around 1942 before it was
                                      officially inducted into the RAAF as A41-4 for use as an air ambulance.   This Fox Moth (ex
                                      G-ACCU) only had one owner, namely Qantas from its delivery in March 1937 until it was
                                      impressed into service during the war as A41-4    . It did not survive the conflict and was re-
                                      duced to produce in May 1945.  The photo at the foot of the page is from the Neil Follett
                                      collection and illustrates it overturned in outback Queensland, sometime during its Qantas days
