VH-UQT  de Havilland D.H.60M Moth                     (c/n  1477)

                                 

                                      VH-UQT was ex G-AAUS and was originally owned by C.J. Robertson of Sandringham, Vic.
                                      It was sold to Sir Charles Kingsford Smith in November 1933, and re-registered to Kingsford
                                      Smith Air Service (dba Eastern Air Transport Ltd).in 1935  Although extensively damaged by
                                      fire after a crash at Mascot in February 1936, it was restored after a three year rebuild. Another
                                      crash at Botany Bay in January 1940 did not stop it from being impressed into RAAF service in
                                      August of that year whereupon it became A7-119.
