                                      The above historic shot is from the John Hopton collection and pictures VH-UKC at Balranald,
                                      NSW in 1929 during a sales tour by the newly formed de Havilland Aircraft Pty Ltd in Australia.
                                      Major Hereward De Havilland is in the rear cockpit (prop swinger unknown).  -UKC was regis-
                                      tered to DHA in May 1929, and damaged severely in October of that year when a violent wind
                                      blew it against Moth VH-UKJ at Maylands Aerodrome, Perth.   Repaired, it was sold to a Mr.
                                      R. B. Pearson of Brewarrina, NSW in April 1930.   However, it was short-lived inasmuch as it
                                      was written off either by Pearson or other persons unknown in a crash at Nyngan, NSW a fort-
                                      night later and stricken from the register on 8 August 1930.
