G-AUED  de Havilland D.H.9C                                             (c/n  86)

                              

                                    I cannot confirm that this is, in fact, G-AUED except that the image came from the John Oxley
                                    Library, State Library of Queensland collection and that source is usually correct.  The D.H.9C
                                    was one of Qantas' first aircraft and was registered to the Longreach company in November
                                    1923.   It met its demise in a crash at Tambo, Queensland on 24 March 1927 and this accident
                                    marked the embryonic airline's first fatality.
