VH-WCM    Cessna 175A  Skylark                      (c/n  56763)

                                   

                                        This may have been the only Skylark entered in the 1964 Ansett Air Race.  It was flown by
                                        Wm. Murray of Melbourne.  Greg Banfield saw it at the overnight stop at Bankstown on 29
                                        March 1964 (above).   It is currently registered to a private owner in Goulburn, NSW.  I have
                                        lost the provenance of the shot below (Ian Mcdonell?) which was taken early in the new
                                                      millennium.   Perhaps it has since been repainted?
