VH-SSK (2) de Havilland D.H.82A Tiger
Moth
(c/n DHA885/T257)

This is actually the second
VH-SSK. Presumably it went to Superspread after being VH-ATE
since 1946, replacing the
VH-SSK which became VH-GLG. However, since it was not
in
Superspread
service
when Geoff Goodall took this shot of it on the owner's property at
Dookie,
Victoria
in May
1967, I'll index it under the regular VH-M to VH-Z
series. Greg Banfield's
evocative
photograph (below) was taken at Point Cook, Victoria on 8 December
1975. This
Tiger is
still on the register and flies in
full RAAF regalia as A17-468 its former military identity.
Contemporary
shot, someone, please? (There is a nice one on Flicker
....whatever that is).
