VH-RPP Cessna 182J

The 182s of this era were, I
always thought, particularly attractive models, especially with full
undercarriage spats as
portrayed by -RPP above in this nice shot by David Carter at Banks-
town in 1970. Built as N8596S by
Cessna, VH-RPP was crated and shipped to Australia,
where
it was registered in April 1966. It has spent much of its life in
rural Queensland, and
was owned
by North Queensland Aerial Charter in Mareeba in 1976. Forty
years on (Jan
2017) it is based at Injune in south-west Queensland.
