VH-RND (2)    Cessna 172H Skyhawk                     (c/n  17255445)

                                 

                                      This aircraft was first registered in May 1967 and was to have been VH-KOA, but this was
                                      not taken up since it went directly to the Royal Newcastle Aero Club who had it immediately
                                      re-registered VH-RND.   The club disposed of it in February 1973 to South Australia Cessna
                                      agents Rossair at Parafield.     Today it is based at Redcliffe, Qld as seen in the hangar shot
                                      above by Ian McDonell taken in June 2009.   For a forty year old machine it appears to be in
                                      very good shape indeed.
