VH-REX (3)  Cessna 310D                                            (c/n  39039)

                              

                                     There have been many VH-REXs., this being the primo registration for Australia's main Cessna
                                     dealer, Rex Aviation of Bankstown.    This is the second Cessna 310 to wear this identity, and
                                     had been flown in from the US across the Pacific.     It was formerly N6739T and registered in
                                     Australia in September 1960 as a Rex demonstrator.    The Ray Deerness' shot above, taken at
                                     Bankstown in 1960, although not terribly sharp, is somewhat rare inasmuch as the aircraft was
                                     re-registered VH-ATB in March 1961 when sold to Queensland Air Ambulance Transport
                                     Board and based in Cairns.   In 1967, when sold off,  it became VH-BTP.
