VH-PWN  Douglas DC-3CS1C3G                      (c/n  9286)

                              
                          
                                  This was East-West's VH-EWA and VH-EWF.    It was re-registered VH-PWN in November
                                  1967 and leased to Queensland Pacific Trading Co Pty Ltd.   Roger McDonald's color shot
                                  above was taken at Cairns in July 1970.   In June 1972. it was leased for a while to Adastra
                                  Aerial  Surveys.   Later that year (September) it was acquired by Bush Pilots Airways Ltd and
                                  saw time with their Papua/New Guinea division in 1973.    By 1982 it was flying for Air Queens-
                                  land and was withdrawn from use by that outfit at Cairns in 1987.     It was then operated by
                                  DC-3 Queensland/Air Rambler and Greg Banfield's shot (below) shows it in their livery at Banks-
                                  town in February 1989.   Dick Lang picked it up in 1991 for his Desert Air Safaris.  In 1993 it
                                  was sold to Pioneer Adventures Ltd in New Zealand and became ZK-AMS.   By 2006 it was
                                  back on the Australian register as VH-CWS and is currently owned by Classic Wings (Western
                                  Australia).
