VH-PKP started life in
Australia as VH-PKB, which it wore from April 1963 to February, 1964
. –PKB was
taken up a PA28-180 Cherokee soon after the registration was
vacated. It is known
that –PKP was based in Queensland in the 1960s and by the mid 1970s was
being operated from
Moorabbin. Like many PA22s, it was converted to a
taildragger and it was in this configuration
that David
Carter photographed it at Mangalore in April 1984. Mike Madden's
shot below shows
it at Moorabbin in the manner in which it was first registered.
This aircraft was current in Dec
2016 and
with a pilot from Murrumbateman, NSW, who had owned it since 2012.
