VH-MQL  Victa Airtourer 115                              (c/n  128)

                                 

                                      Looking like possibly a fire fighting airframe, this Airtourer was previously the Royal Aero Club
                                     of NSW's VH-RSL .    When the club had it it was one of the smartest turned out Airtourers
                                     ever to grace the skies..........what can I say?   Barry Maclean took the above shot at an air show
                                     at Kyneton in 2006.  It had a period of inactivity in the 1980s (off the register) but was restored
                                     in 1986.    It is now based at Cessnock, NSW as seen in the image below taken at March 2010
                                     by Ian McDonnell.  While it has been stripped of its garish orange paint scheme it would have been
                                     nice it if had been finished in original Victa livery.........
