VH-MPK  Callair A-9A Quail                           (c/n  1190)

                                   

                                       Imported in September 1965 and sold to Queensland Airplanters Pty Ltd of Bundaberg, where this
                                       shot, by Arthur Perkins, was taken in November 1966.   On 19 March 1967 while spraying brigalow
                                       scrub at Don River, 15 miles north of Baralaba, Qld the aircraft stalled in a low turn and struck the
                                       ground, starboard wing down.    This demolished the undercarriage when the aircraft slid to a stop.
                                       The pilot was unhurt and managed to escape the wreckage before it was consumed by fire.
