VH-MEG  Piper PA-22-108 Colt                             (c/n  22-9267)

                               

                                      VH-MEG was a PA-22 Colt 108 registered new in October 1962 by Millard O'Sullivan Aviation,
                                      Perth for their Perth Flying School which was based at Perth Airport (the new General Aviation
                                      airport of Jandakot had not yet been opened).      On 4 July 1965 a student pilot became lost in
                                      deteriorating weather and overturned during a forced landing at the 45 mile post on the Albany
                                      Highway, south of Perth.     The pilot was not injured but the Colt was written off.     Its tailplane
                                      survived at the Midland Technical School aviation annex near Perth Airport as late as 1971.
