                                            RAAF serial:  A17-659       (Built as DX752 for South Africa)

                                           Fate:  Re-registered VH-BEQ in 1961 to a private owner in Melbourne.
                                           It was then sold in the USA (in 1970) and given the somewhat 'period' registration of N14659.
                                           Amazingly, it was still on the US Civil Register, based in Arkansas, well into the new millennium,
                                           but appears (mid 2008) to be no longer current.

                                           The shot below by Bob Neate, taken at Warracknabeal, Victoria in  1961 shows it just before
                                           it became VH-BEQ. . In my shot above, it had just had a paint job and the RVAC badge had
                                           yet to be re-applied.
