                                       RAF serial:  WB658

                                      This is the Chippie which my life-long friend Richard J. Maclean and his partner flew to second
                                      place in the 1964 R.M. Ansett Air Race from Brisbane to Adelaide. It is seen here at Parafield,
                                      Adelaide, at the end of the Race.  VH-RVK was formerly registered VH-BSJ.   The color shot
                                      of it below was taken at Morwell, circa 1963, and is from Geoff Goodall (courtesy of the John
                                      Willis collection).      On 8 September 1964 -RVK was unfortunately written off in a fiery crash
                                      at Bangholme (near its base at Moorabbin).
