                                           Another of the "latter day" Chipmunks acquired by the Royal Vic in 1961 from the
                                           Royal Newcastle Aero Club.   This one was ex VH-RNE, and the above shot was
                                           taken at Moorabbin in December 1961.   A coiuple of days after this shot was taken
                                           (on 10 December 1961) whilst flying above Fern Tree Gully, the engine fell out.  The
                                           aircraft then spun down bu the pilot(s) managed to successfully level out and perform
                                           an emergency crash landing in a paddock.   The aircraft was stricken from the register
                                           the same day.
