VH-KSK  Auster J/5 Adventurer                                          (c/n  2809)

                                 
                                
                                        The four seat J5s were named Autocrat in the U.K.and Adventurer in Australia. VH-KSK originally
                                        went to Gibbes Sepik Airways in New Guinea when new.   It returned to Australia in 1955 and had
                                        a series of owners until 1975 when its C of R was not renewed.       It was reactivated again in 1982
                                        and purchased by Alan Parise at RAAF Point Cook in 1988 who completed its restoration        The
                                        above photo is via the CAHS archives, and shows the aircraft in full Auster factory livery.    The shot
                                        below, by Geoff Goodall was taken at Griffith, NSW in July, 1967.            More recently the aircraft
                                        appears to be under yet another rebuild in North Queensland where it is owned by John Innes, of
                                        Bunya.  It is still currently registered, but its airworthiness status is unknown.
