VH-IMP       Cessna U206C Super Skywagon                      (c/n U206-1006)

                                  
 
                                    Originally intended to be VH-UCV, VH-IMP was registered to Industrial Metal Protectives in July
                                    1968.  When David Carter photographed it at Griffith it had been chartered by Renault as a support
                                    aircraft for the Australian section of the 1977 London-Sydney car rally which passed through the town
                                 . –IMP was damaged at Jandakot on September 22, 1978 and spent four months off the register.    In
                                    August 1991 it became VH-MRS and was reregistered again in September 1998 as VH-TBY. It was
                                    still registered in September 2016 with Vic Bongiorno, who had been using it for more than 10 years
                                    on scenic flights over Victoria’s Otway ranges and spectacular south-western coast under a variety of
                                    names – Cape Otway Aviation, Bush Pilots Australia and most recently, Apollo Bay Aviation.
