VH-GSR   Schleicher KA6-CR                             (c/n  6658/SI)

I do believe that this image is the only one in the entire collection of a sailplane.  It was taken by
contributor Ian McDonell at Caboolture, Queensland in June 2013.      Did the bird maybe think
it was its mother?   The KA6 was designed by Rudolph Kaiser and built by Alexander Schleicher
GmbH in Germany of spruce and plywood construction.   Early variants had a nose skid, but the
6-CR has a single wheel.  VH-GSR was registered in September 1970 and, as Ian's shot shows,
                                   is still going strong.
