VH-FRD  Auster J/4 Archer                        (c/n  2068)

This Archer was built as G-AIJL, shipped to Australaia in 1951 (left the UK in May, registered
as VH-AAG in September) and crashed at Liverpool, NSW in January of 1958.   It was rebuilt
and when restoration was finally complete came back onto the register as -FRD.  Greg Banfield
caught it at Bankstown in July 1964 just as it re-emerged from the rebuild.        This Archer was
written off in a crash on Cape Barren Island, off Tasmania in July 1966.
