Like its sister aircraft
VH-EQN, this DC-3 was one of six or seven ex RAAF Dakotas acquired by
aircraft broker Stan Booker in
1968. Ex A65-119. it became VH-EQO in June 1970 when sold off
to Jet Airlines of
Australia. .Barrie Colledge saw it (above) at Bankstown soon
after it was civilianiz-
ed in June
1970. When Jet Air ceased operations in 1971, it was one of
several aircraft acquired
by Australia Aid and
given to Royal Air Laos wherein it became XW- something or other.
