VH-EBR  DHA-3 Drover 1                (c/n  5005)

                               

                                   The shot above, from the Civil Aviation Historical Society of South Australia collection and my
                                   own below, courtesy of Qantas Empire Airways, showing this Drover over the famous Sydney
                                   Harbor Bridge could have been taken on the same sortie.      In the photo below note that 'The
                                   Rocks' redeveloped area had yet to be developed!    The airline ordered four of these indigenous
                                   Australian machines with which to operate their Aerial Medical Services in North Queensland and
                                   the Northern Territory. This task was later taken over by Trans Australian Airlines and later still by
                                   the Royal Flying Doctor Service itself.        With the exception of VH-EBQ which was lost in New
                                   Guinea, Qantas' remaining Drovers were sold to Fiji Airways in 1954/55.        VH-EBR became
                                   VQ-FAO.
