VH-EBN (2)     Boeing 707-338C                             (c/n  18808)

                                 

                                      VH-EBN was the first of Qantas 707-320 series 'Intercontinental' models.  It had an 80" fuselage
                                      stretch, and range was increased by some 1,600 miles.  -EBN flew its first schedules in February,
                                      1965, and was named 'City of Parramatta'   It was brand new when Greg Banfield saw it (above)
                                      at Mascot in March 1965.    -EBN was sold to Singapore Airlines in September 1974 becoming
                                      9V-BFW.   It was later sold in the US in 1981 as N707GB and then had many subsequent leases
                                      and rego changes, winding up in Brazil in 1998 as  PT-WSZ.   In the late 2000s it was advertised
                                      for sale, but its current status is unknown.
