VH-DIP   Cessna 150D                                              (c/n 60265)

                            
 
                                 This was actually the second iteration of the rego VH-DIP, although the first was to have been a
                                 Cessna 180F Skywagon which was registered VH-FRI instead.         This -DPI was the former
                                VH-KMD.   David Carter's photograph above was taken at Bankstown on 17 October, 1970.
                                VH-DIP was written off on 27 March 1972 at Montejinnie Station, Northern Territory whilst
                                 mustering stock from the air.       It apparently hit the ground in an almost vertical position. 
                                Sadly, the pilot was killed.
