VH-CXA  Cessna 180A Skywagon                         (c/n  50048)

                                  

                                      This 180 (ex N9750B) was owned by the late Col Pay when Bob Neate took the above photo
                                      at Narromine, NSW in 1963.   Colin Pay was one of Australia's pioneers in the field of aerial
                                      topdressing, spaying and crop dusting and helped develop many of the techniques now regularly
                                      used in the industry.   Sadly he was killed in an accident on 7 December 2007.    VH-CXA is
                                      still flying, as seen in the contemporary shot of it below, taken by Phil Vabre at  AAAA Fly-In
                                      at Narrandera in 2006.  As can be seen, it has been restored in an earlier Cessna livery than that
                                      which it carried when new. .
