VH-EAU  DHC-2 Beaver                                       (c/n  646)

                                 

                                     Another of the Beavers operated by Qantas in the mid 1950s in New Guinea.  Like its sister
                                     VH-EAT, it possibly was mounted on floats at some point in its early career.  -EAU was sold
                                     in 1958 to the Snowy Mountains Hydro-Electric Authority as VH-SMB, although re-registered
                                     by them sometime later as VH-SMH.   It wound up in Canada as C-FTCW and is still flying
                                     there.
