VH-BJY  Percival P44 Proctor V                             (c/n  Ae.91)

                           
 
                                VH-BJY looked crisp and neat when I took this photo of it at Moorabbin in 1955.  It was withdrawn
                                from use when the DCA refused to renew Cs of A to Proctors in 1962.  It was then left out in the open
                                at Moorabbin ostensibly to be restored for the Aviation Museum.   As Geoff Goodall's shot (below)
                                taken in May of 1967 indicates, however, that it was 'way too far gone for that.   (In the event, the
                                representative Proctor in that collection became VH-AUC).
