VH-AWK  de havilland D.H.82A Tiger Moth               (c/n    '853')

This is one of those Tigers whose identity appears to be shrouded in mystery.  Its c/n is usually
given as '853".  However, the true DHA853 was the RQAC's VH-AZT and clearly they are not
the same aeroplane.   This one first appeared on the register in 1953 as VH-AGB.  It became
VH-DDV in 1955 and was re-registered again in 1958 as VH-AWK.  Brian Baker saw it (above)
at Archerfield, Brisbane in December 1961.   In 1962 it became VH-PUW, but I am not sure of
                                  its fate after that.
