The second bearer of the registration VH-ASV was also a
Lockheed twin, but this time the
so-called
'Electra Junior'. This aircraft was the former VH-ABH although it held a couple
of identites
in between becoming VH-ASV (to wit VH-DMC
and VH-TLX). It is seen
above
at
Essendon as contender in the 1964 Ansett-sponsored Brisbane to Adelaide
air
race, in a
shot by Richard
Maclean. Jim Sweeney saw it at Bankstown later on in 1971
(below). In
1978 it was restored back to
VH-ABH and dressed up as "Silver City",
its original Associated
Airline
