                                   registered new in December 1967, by 1976 it was registered to Ed McKeough, a businessman,
                                   wartime pilot and leading light in the Benalla-based Gliding Club of Victoria.      After he died in
                                   1987, the main entrance road into Benalla airport was renamed Ed McKeough Drive in his honour
                                   By then VH-ASN was gone after being written off on January 21, 1986 when it failed to get
                                   properly airborne while attempting to take off from a small rural airstrip at Merrijig, Victoria.
