VH-ASC (2) de Havilland D.H.82A Tiger Moth                     c/n  134/T215

                           

                                  This was the former Royal Victorian Aero Club's VH-RVI the first, which was sold off to
                                  Airspread in 1956.  It crashed at Buchan, Victoria the next year.   This photograph is from
                                  the Barrie Colledge collection and was taken at Moorabbin.  It is actually the second Tiger to
                                  carry this rego, the first being c/n DHA441, ex A17-397 which was damaged beyond repair
                                  at Essendon in 1947 ('twould've been rebuilt in this day and age, but in 1947 Tigers were two
                                  a penny).
