Havilland D.H.84A Dragon (c/n 2010)
This Dragon was in the service of Mandated Airlines in
Papua/New Guinea when this shot was
taken, circa
1949. It was an Australian-built Dragon delivered to the RAAF in
1942 as A34-21.
Civilianized in 1946, it spent its life in PNG, and
finally crashed and was written off at Heyfield in
1954. The
genuine WW Willys Jeep would be worth a buck or today.
