VH-AII Douglas DC-3CS1C3G                     (c/n  13622)

                          

                               The very nice shot above is from the John Hopton collection, while below is an image taken from
                               a Qantas postcard.  This latter shot purportedly shows -AII after completing the last Qantas sched-
                               uled flight from Mt. Isa to Archerfield on 1 April 1949.    Six months later this aircraft was to be re-
                               registered VH-EBI.   -AII was built as a C-47A-25-DK with USAAF serial 42-93683 and assigned
                               to the 9th Air Force in the European theatre.  It was registered to Qantas on 12 December 1945.
