VH-ADJ  de Havilland D.H.94 Moth Minor                    (c/n    94053)

                           

                               This shot comes from the Barrie Colledge collection although the provenance of the photograph
                               is lost in antiquity. It was taken at Broken Hill in the late 1940s.  VH-ADJ was formerly G-AFOV
                               and was exported to Australia in 1939, although hostilies had already commenced by the time it
                               arrived in 1940. Surprisingly it was not impressed during the war.  It was damaged beyond repair
                               in a crash at Kajuligan Station in the outback of NSW in 1950.   On the right is the Silver City
                               Lancastrian G-AHBT 'City of New York', whilst the other Moth Minor is VH-ACO.
