VH-ACY  Auster J/1B Aiglet   (c/n  2705)

                              

                                     This Aiglet was a common site on the ramp at Launceston Airport (Western Junction) in the
                                     early-1950s.  Here it is whilst new in 1953 resplendent in a cream and red finish.  This aircraft
                                     has been preserved and is sitting on a pedestal  (actually three poles) in the Australian National
                                     Aviation Museum at Moorabbin, just south and east of Melbourne.   For a nice shot of it as it
