VH-ACS  de Havilland D.H.94 Moth Minor                     (c/n  94047)

                                 

                                     The above shot is from the Geoff Goodall collection and was taken at Portland, Victoria in 1968. 
                                     I am not sure when David Tanner's photo immediately below was taken, although the RVAC's
                                     Cessna 172F VH-RVG in the background somewhat dates it.  Note the aircraft, at that time, was
                                     devoid of its strake line, and could have been taken later than John Wheatley's shot ot it at the foot
                                     of the page taken at Alice Springs, circa 1970).         In the latter it had sported a Mickey Mouse
                                     character just forward of the cockpit.       VH-ACS was the former G-AFOW and was imported
                                      in 1940.    Oddly, it appears never to have been impressed into RAAF service.  Was it kept hidden
                                      from the authorities?
