VH-ACA  Percival P.10 Vega Gull                                (c/n  K98)

                                    

                                         Rare shot from the Neil Follett collection of a Vega Gull at Essendon, circa 1940.   This aircraft
                                         was delivered new to Major The Hon. Richard G. Casey (later to become Governor-General of
                                         Australia) in April 1938.     With the onset of WW II VH-ACA was impressed into service with
                                         the RAAF as A32-2 and allotted to the Communications Flight at Laverton.   It was restored to
                                         the civil register on 24 December 1946.  Owner Peter J. Loneragan forced landed it at Hill End,
                                         NSW on 18 April1949 damaging a wing.   Upon being repaired it was re-registered VH-BQA
