VH-TVG
'William Hovell'
Model 720A
c/n 84
Essendon, 1957.
Delivered in 1956.
Scrapped at Melbourne in 1967. An asset
life of twelve years for
an airliner today would be
unthinkable. As it was, this machine must barely have been
amortized before being
struck from the register? Having said that, it did amass a total
of
over 27.000 flying hours. In
presenting Greg Banfield's shot below, taken at Mascot
in April
1964, I'll also append an enlargement of the rego area underneath since
it certainly
cannot be read on the 625
pixel image!
