VH-TVB   Model 720   ''Gregory Blaxland'                                                c/n 45

                                            Essendon, 1955

The crash of VH-TVA clearly affected the inauguration of prop-jet service in Australia, but not
by very much.  Initially scheduled to have begun on 1 December 1954, regular jet-prop services
commenced on 18 December.  This followed an earlier proving flight by VH-TVB between
Melbourne and Brisbane.  This aircraft went on to operated with the airline until 1962 when it was
sold to Ansett-ANA and re-registered VH-RMQ.   It was later to crash near Port Hedland, WA.
